This demonstration is not intended to be a game--only to illustrate how the mouse might be used for targetting purposes. The system requirements required to use this demo program are: - Sound card supporting at least thirty-two hardware 3D sound buffers, i.e. Sound Blaster Live! or equivalent - Surround sound speaker system with at least four speakers, i.e. front and rear speaker pairs - Mouse - Make sure your screen reader is turned off during play. - Make sure your speaker configuration is set appropriately in the control panel (if it is set to 'stereo speakers', this demo will not function properly). The layout of the arena is very simple. It's a fifty by fifty unit playing field. When the demo begins, you are placed in the center of the playing field at coordinates 25, 25 and are facing North. The playing area is surrounded by a wall. If you run into the wall, you will hear a sound indicating so. Simply change direction and move back into the arena. The controls in this demo are very basic and are described below: 'W' Key moves you forward. 'S' Key moves you backward. 'E' Key toggles the ammunition box locator sound on and off. 'R' Key reloads the shotgun with ammunition. The mouse is moved left and right to steer while moving forward or backward using the keyboard. The left mouse button is used to fire the shotgun weapon. The demo is compromised of two scenarios. The first is a number of zombies that you are to target and kill using the mouse and shotgun weapon. Once all the zombies for that level are killed, you will move onto the boss level where you kill a single boss creature. After the boss creature is killed, the entire cycle starts over with more and faster moving zombies. If you die during game play, you will respawn at a random spot in the arena until you have exhausted your three lives. Your shotgun holds a total of eight rounds. You may also carry additional ammunition, if aquired from the ammo boxes. There are four ammo boxes placed at the following coordinates: Ammo Box #1 at 5, 5 Ammo Box #1 at 45, 5 Ammo Box #1 at 5, 45 Ammo Box #1 at 45, 45 You can find them on your own or you can turn on the ammo box locator beacon by pressing the 'E' key. Once you acquire an ammo box, you may reload your shotgun. Ammo boxes automatically respawn after a certain amount of time. The ESCAPE Key backs out of gameplay and the menu system. This demo program is provided as-is and no technical support is provided for it. All technical support inquiries will be ignored.
